Notes:

Players deploy in the hallway on the left. Enemies start somewhere between the center and the right side. Cooling rods are in the northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest, about equal distance from the center and the corner.

I think it was a good idea that I kept this arena extremely simple so that players could focus on figuring out what the deal was with the enemies.

Our players had a really hard time with the Abyssal enemy layer. Even with the hint, it took them a very long time to figure out that the eidolon looked the same as the shards. The amount of damage it put out after a few turns was threatening enough to be interesting, but a few rounds of being led around and mindlessly killing shards got boring quickly. I ended up giving them a few extra hints and taking about 10hp off the enemy so that they wouldn't have to start over completely start over or spend several more turns killing shards before they found the eidolon again. If I run this again, I think I'll trade out the Abyssal layer for something else.
