Lancer: Roadblock Map

Notes:
This map is a bit smaller than usual. I wanted it a bit harder by having the enemies spawn closer to the PCs, but still at the edges of the map. Roll20 import info: set the image dimensions to 2290px x 1170px, and the map size to 34 x 26.
The truck and bus sprites are from Kenney.
PCs begin in the blue rectangle. This is the goal zone as described in the sitrep. Hexes that are on the line count as being within the goal zone. Enemies alternated between spawning on the east edge of the map and spawning on the north or south edges.
Several of my PCs started this one at less that full structure and had to play pretty defensively. Good thing they had a Drake to make the Pyros irrelevant.This was a very close fight, with 4 mechs at high health in the goal zone in the middle of the last round. Our Black Witch player saved the day again by landing a Ferrous Lash to yeet an enemy mech into the river.
I decided that the amazing flavor text printed all over THE WEAPON's character sheet needed to be shared with the PCs over the course of this fight. I started the combat by explaining that THE WEAPON has a small, cylindrical, directional antenna that points in random directions - allies, enemies, sometimes a rock to bounce the signal back to itself. As PCs took their turns, I whispered to each of them a phrase from the flavor text on the top of the page. As they came in contact with different weapons and traits, I sent them the corresponding flavor text. When the fight was over, I offered to have their computers stitch together THE WEAPON's "chant" so that they could see all of it at once.
